Over the coming year, Equatex will invest CHF 2 million in a futures programme focused on building tomorrow’s equity plan participants’ experience across a connected ecosystem of smart devices, web, and telephony in the workplace. To lead this transformation, the company is enlisting world-class innovators and has appointed international design and strategy firm frog as a key partner.
The ambitious 12-month programme, initiated in August this year, looks to challenge the employee’s experience of share and compensation plan participation. A core early part of this initiative will be to re-imagine the web based interactions and online participant user journeys. Equatex has turned to user-centred design specialists frog to lead the evaluation and design phases of this essential part of the initiative.
frog has brought together a team of design, strategy and technology experts from their London and international locations. Over the coming weeks, the frog and Equatex teams will take a deep dive into the expectations and habits of plan participants across multiple countries, organisations and plan types. They will also identify the potential of emerging technologies and consumer behaviour trends across broad financial services and related markets.
The collaboration will be centred on a co-design approach, with client organisations and their employees taking an active role in the discovery and design cycles. Through a series of customer panels, in-depth user interviews and co-creation workshops, the collaborative project aims to deliver working prototypes early in the new year and launch a new core digital platform in the summer.
Equatex’s marketing lead Kevin Mann comments: “With a truly multi-national culture and reputation for cutting-edge innovation in user-centred design, frog is a well-matched partner for Equatex. They bring a world of experience and insights from transforming and innovating with the globe’s most forward thinking organisations.”
In addition, the futures programme investment will enhance the company’s EquateMobile app, extend the functionality of other existing products, add new communication capabilities and explore a wide range of interaction channels. The innovations will build on recent improvements that have been introduced over the past months, such as the seamless integration of financial reporting capabilities, the introduction of two-factor authentication on the EquatePlus platform and the extension of the platform’s language capabilities to 22 languages.
