Job description and responsibilities:
Responsible for plan management tasks in the Equity compensation area including administration and maintenance of plan events and resulting transactions for new Grants, Fund based compensation and vestings. A further task of the Senior Client Service Specialist is the timing of processes, and the close observation thereof to identify delivery issues, problems and drawing valid conclusions. Owning and developing the standardized and tailor made processes is also part of the Senior Client Service Specialist’s role. It is crucial for this role to look beyond your daily tasks and consider downstream effects. The perfect candidate is also not shy of presenting and discussing operational topics in front of the client.

Key tasks include both advanced plan and process management as a highly critical function for smooth client service delivery in daily business operations.

 

Business related responsibilities:

  • Main responsibility is the provision of administrative services for Equity compensation plans for international corporate clients with the proprietary web-based platform EquatePlus of Equatex
  • Broad area of end-to-end responsibility for specific client events in the lifecycle of the equity and deferred plan administration as well as day-to-day plan and data maintenance on the administration platform EquatePlus for assigned corporate client relationships and processes
  • Structured planning, processing and monitoring of company plan related events and/or transactions
  • Ensuring quality of operational and technical services within the Compliance and Risk framework
  • Analysing clients’ plans and development of comprehensive solutions in close cooperation with all relevant internal and external stakeholders in order to setup system configuration and underlying processes
  • Fulfilling expert role in stakeholder meetings and conference calls; Conducting and supporting presentations
  • There are several entry points into the client’s corporation. Understanding the needs of the client’s Finance, Group Treasury or HR department is crucial. The perfect candidate is managing these relationships.

  • Participate in various projects pointed out by management
  • Highlighting key issues and problems relating to the product sign-off once the testing phase is complete
  • Execution of UAT against previously defined and signed-off business requirements
  • Spread out and promote company corporate culture and fiscal discipline as would in its own business
  • Cooperate fully during internal and external audits
  • Escalate observed irregularities to direct superiors
  • Comply with company ethical standards while executing daily functions
  • Fulfill duties and functions set by management of Equatex AG
  • Obey rules regarding time management set by the employer

  • Under no circumstances disclose trade secrets, defined by specific contracts and regulations

Qualifications, skills & knowledge

Job qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years working experience in Banking Mid-office or similar function with a Financial Institution
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent level of education qualification
  • Proven track record in client facing roles and operations
  • A good understanding of deferred compensations & benefits schemes is an advantage
  • Commitment to continuous organisational improvement and the ability to act as a change agent

Competencies:

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with various (virtual) teams and line / functional managers across the organisation
  • Self-starter with high energy level, working effectively as a team player
  • Ability to handle high volume in a fast paced environment is essential
  • Organizational skills coupled with hand-on pragmatic approach and performance orientation
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills, maintains strong focus on timelines
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing environments

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office such as Excel and PowerPoint
  • SQL knowledge is an advantage
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills (English C1 level and above)
  • German language skills are an advantage (B2/C1 level and above)
